APPLICATIONS

Food

Adhesives in the food industry have the most variety.
The range of packaging types, for example, plastic, carton and glass, as well as the ability to perform under different conditions, from humidity to freezing cold, will determine the requirements of the label.

While choosing a label, attention should be given to ensure the adhesive meets the relevant standards – Direct Food Contact and direct Contact with Fatty Foods.

Beverages

This industry is known for its high demands for labels that complement the brand and capture the eye.

Drinks such as water, soda or juice that want to be seen by the consumer as a luxury product will use clear-face materials and adhesives with a high transparency that maintain this level of transparency when in contact with moisture or water.

Logistics

Labels used for markings such as barcodes, prices or other identifying marks. Its not unusual to have to remove and re-apply these labels during the packing process; the adhesive should meet the conditions required for immediate reapplication in order to save time and money.

Oil & Industrial Chemicals

This industry poses the most challenges for labelling.
Face-material and adhesives deal with harsh application conditions, such as, dust, hot surfaces, exposure to UV light, oil migration and more.

The pharmaceutical industry has high demands from medical labels.
The labels should adhere to a variety of substrates and packaging shapes, comply with the sterilization process, and avoid penetration of the adhesive onto the packaging or product.

The purpose of security labels is to protect products from theft and forgery. These adhesives are also used to identify when a product has been tampered with, and is common practice in electronic warranties and food delivery services.
